This website provides many online facilities, including appointment booking and prescription ordering. It also contains a vast range of health information and resources, along with practical information on visiting the surgery. We hope you find it useful and informative.
We would like to focus your attention on self care. Self-care meanskeeping fit and healthy, knowing how to take medicines or treat minor ailments and seeking help when you need it. If you have a long term condition, self care is about understanding that condition and learning how best to live with it.
Most people are very capable of looking after themselves most of the time, self treating when its safe and knowing where to get the most appropriate help.
However, there are still 3.7 million visits to A+E for self treatable conditions and 25% of GP appointments in West Sussex are for illness that could be treated at home.
There is a wealth of information available on the NHS website and on the Self Care Forum or you can ring NHS 111
About Our Practice
Our General Practitioners are committed to providing high quality NHS medical care for individuals and families in a friendly and caring environment. All patients have a named GP, if you would like to know who your GP is then please contact the surgery. We registered with the CQC on 1st April 2013, our provider number is 1-199745118 and the registered managers are the Partners of the practice.
Established over a hundred years ago, the practice is a busy, well resourced surgery striving to provide the highest possible standard of care for our patients.
The surgery is located in part of the health centre in the town centre and occupies most of the ground floor of the building. All the doctor and nurse consulting and treatment rooms are located close together. There is a large open plan waiting area set away from the consulting rooms to provide more privacy during consultations.
The treatment rooms are are well equipped, providing a range of health promotion and diagnostic assessment services. The practice is fully computerised and is 'paperlight', including the appointment system, prescribing and patient health records.
The remainder of the building is occupied by a variety of other users including staff providing outreach clinics for hearing, speech therapy and counselling.
There is a lift from the ground floor car park for less mobile patients and a ramp at the front of the building for disabled patients or babies in pushchairs.
